Winter's Elegy

Spring awoke in the moonlight
The white, fluffy clouds that previously fell were fading away
The flora all tried to touch the sky, and soak in some of Luna's radiance
One little flower stood alone, shy to open up
Afraid of being doubted, afraid to make a sound
She then noticed the fading moon, it's light was departing
She knew if she did not act now, she would miss her chance to catch it's glow
So the young pod bloomed, and she was more beautiful than the rest of her peers
I was awoken by a beam of gold peeping in through my curtains
I parted them to view the lovely portrait that was my window
I noticed the pretty little rose, surely the last to bloom, but also the best to bloom
And so began the first day of Spring.
