Days gone by and I'm waiting.

Waiting for good things to come.

Hoping my nightmares turn to dreams.

Crying because I'm all alone.

I build a humble shell around me.

To protect me from the cold.

On the inside I'm still shivering.

There's no more warmth to hold me close.

Why do I still hold on.

I guess, I feel the need to torment myself again.

Every stale breath I take, is the only reminder that I'm still here.

I need to escape the past, before I'm left injured and alone.

I fall to the ground cursing my life.

I still can't help, but worry.

Worry about my friends, and how we are being driven apart.

I'm still waiting for clarity, and a reason to wake up.

Lifeless ground turned to concrete.

People are too busy to care.

Corporate greed is the way of the privileged.

Burning is the gaze, of a perfect world.

On the stale wind, in a sheltering grave site, floats a crumpled paper.

It is trapped in the land of the emotionally dead.

It's words are now lost to the world.

It flies the prison we call home.

No one gave so much, as a passing glance, as the paper flew on.

With it's departure, it left a mark on the cold shell of a city.

I have learned something from, this lonely paper.

No matter how perfect we think we are, we are crumpled paper as well.

Of the secrets the Father knows

Hidden and dangerous spells he keeps

Away from man as unlearned foes

far from power, hidden so deep

So rejoice in the trust

from the Sister of Man

who tells us things fair and just

to defend us from the enemies plans

Secret knowledge from the father

powerful and strong without rival

comes to us from the Daughter

aiding us and strengthening all the while

wisdom and skill hold back the ice,

so listen closely or pay the price
